Synopsis
A young escort from Brooklyn meets and impulsively marries the son of a Russian oligarch. Once the news reaches Russia, her fairy tale is threatened as his parents set out for New York to get the marriage annulled.

so many things were wrong with this movie!! the russian threw me off because i didn’t understand what was said, its incredibly slow (i fell asleep), and theres hardly a plot besides showing sex every 5 minutes 🤦🏽♀️ i didn’t finish it, but i don’t know if i ever would.

Baker obviously loves most of his characters, and while Anora doesn’t necessarily give off warmth, spending so much of time in the visceral chill of a Coney Island winter, it regards the entire situation with nonjudgmental good humor and a touch of melancholy.
