Having known very little about this film prior to viewing, I encourage the same to all viewers. This film is all at once a procedural, haunting character study, whodunit mystery, and a moving relationship drama. It is unique in the way it unfurls thematic questions and mystery!

9.2/10 Genuinely one of the best acted movies I’ve seen. Every single cast member kills it whether it’s a large or small role. If Sandra Hüller doesn’t win Best Actress I might be rioting in the street. Incredible performance from the kid and the dog. Writing, acting fantastic

Shocked that this was the winner of the Palme d'Or. So many missed opportunities to tell a more gripping, socially fascinating or critiquing story. Plot choices that don't seem to make sense, and a takeaway message that is vague at best and nonsensical at worst.

9.4/10 Blown away. Had no idea going in didn’t even watch a trailer had just heard it was good. Captivating and tense. Every single actor/actress blew me away. Can’t say enough how much I enjoyed and recommend this movie. One of the top courtroom dramas I’ve ever seen.

Top 3 worst movies I’ve ever watched. SO long for what? Barely a plot? I kinda liked that it was all in French but I don’t like that I’ll never get the $4 and 2.5 hours of my life back. Don’t waste your time

Excellent acting, good writing, and interesting concept. I do feel as though I’m missing something though, the ending felt ambiguous and like we’re not really supposed to know the real answer.
