My favorite part is when 101 dogs try to disguise themselves as ... 101 dirty dogs. “Look! An enormous pack of over 100 dogs! We found them! Wait... these dogs are dirty. Must be another enormous pack of over 100 dogs. Let’s keep looking.”

the vibes at Roger and Anita’s are pretty immaculate
David SimsJan 11, 2015Wow. 1961 and these guys nailed it. Look at the colors, the masterful hand-drawn animation, the emotions on the humans' faces. This is impeccable craftsmanship here. "101 Dalmations" is one of Disney's finest "old-school" animated films.

8.6 - I think this was the first VHS (of many) I wore out as a kid. It holds up so well, much better than other classic Disney movies. It’s silly, but suspenseful. It makes big steps in animation. And it gives arguably the first iconic Disney villain. Need to revisit this soon.

Renowned Disney classic with a great story. 101 Dalmatians has a great subtle background of 40s-50s London and a wonderful story of love, loss, and the unconditional love of two Dalmatians who’ve lost their puppies and stop at nothing to bring them home. Great watch for all ages.
