Fast & Furious 9 is gunning for Avengers: Endgame in terms of having the biggest cast ever.

Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren are set to reprise their Fate of the Furious roles in the new sequel, reports Deadline. Vin Diesel helped announce the two actors’ return via Instagram. Watch below:

Theron and Mirren join newcomer John Cena in the franchise’s ninth installment, which will be directed by Fast & Furious veteran Justin Lin. The filmmaker previously helmed the fourth, fifth, and sixth installments.

The two Oscar-winning actors made their first appearance in the long-running series in 2017’s eighth installment. Theron played Cipher, the cyberterrorist baddie who forced Dom (Diesel) to turn against his family of expert fast-car drivers. Mirren played Magdalene Shaw, mother to the nefarious Deckard (Jason Statham) and Owen (Luke Evans). Before she straps in for Part 9, Mirren will be seen in this summer’s Fast & Furious spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw, which hits theaters August 2.

Dan Casey wrote the script for the much-anticipated sequel, from a story by Lin and Alfredo Botello.

Fast & Furious 9 opens everywhere May 22, 2020.
